10 Beers You Are Ignoring...

Each week I see many customers walk by some awesome beers...here's a list of 10 you should consider buying!!

  1. Anchor Porter...fabulously done, easy drinking, rock solid....not a rough and tumble porter...it's a porter with class.
  2. Anderson Valley Hop Otin...not your typical kick to the groin IPA...smooth and balanced...finishes neat and clean.
  3. Bear Republic Red Rocket...considered a red ale but it drinks like a scotch ale...one of my favorite Reds...and one of my favorite Scotch ales
  4. Caldera IPA...Oregon...IPA...Good
  5. Dogfish Burton Baton...yes it's costs some dough, but one sip will make the second mortgage worth it
  6. Fegley's Hopsolutely...If an old school Steven Seagal movie could be a beer it would be Hopsolutley...11.5%...a little over the top...but a mighty fine guilty pleasure
  7. Orkney Skull Splitter...If Scotty from Star Trek and Groundskeeper Willie from The Simpsons had a child then left it alone to be raised by wolves it would be Skull Splitter
  8. Speak Easy Big Daddy...Smooth and hoppy – an enjoyably balanced IPA...the John Shaft of West Coast IPA's
  9. Smuttynose Finestkind/Big A/Durty...The Finestkind and the Big A are the grandaddy of East Coast IPA's and DIPA's...not drinking them is like watching a Bond marathon and skipping straight over the Connery films...Durty is a sophisticated brown ale that stealthily hides an 8% abv...perfect for sipping while you're sitting around the fire pit on a chilly spring evening
  10. Thomas Hooker Liberator (and any other Bock beers)...Thomas Hooker is one of my favorite sleeper breweries...their IPA is an excellent value and one of my favorites...Liberator is its Bock beer (doppelbock specifically)...huge flavors of coffee and roasted malty goodness...as devilishly German and as well done as Hans Gruber from Die Hard. But don't stop there we also have Ayinger's Celebrator, Troegs' Troegenator, and Troegs' Cultivator...all fantastic examples of the style...another great fire pit beer
